Linear Algebra has a wide range of applications from natural sciences to social sciences such as physics, chemistry, biology, finance, image processing, digital signal processing, data mining and many more. This product allows one to use Linea functions within the matlab interpreter, and also create custom functions for matlab based on the function library within the product. After performing a function in the matlab interpreter, it is stored in a file and can be loaded within matlab as a matlab function. Linea uses the FFTW library to perform Fast Fourier Transforms, and FFTW does not require compilation to build the library. The product also includes the necessary files for compilation of the project, and allows one to quickly compile any desired functions to matlab for execution. Because the library of the project is considered to be fast for any call, the call to the function is faster, even when the code is dynamically generated or with a loop. Installation: In this product, the user can select the path of the installation folder of the product. In the case that a Windows path is selected, the installation folder will be created inside the selected path. If a user selects the option "Install on a network server" to install the product, the installation will be performed on a network shared folder. The folder will be named after the system's hostname. The files will be installed in the /home/[username]/linea folder. If the user selects the option "SciPack self-contained, portable installation", this option will not select a network server, but will instead create a folder in the computer. In the installation, one can select the type of installation of the product. The options are: 1) "User selected" 2) "SciPack self-contained, portable installation" 3) "SciPack self-contained, portable installation (install on a network server)" Compilation: Compilation is not required if the selected installation type is "User selected". In this case, the installation will simply proceed with the installation without requiring any compilation to install the components. If the selected installation type is "SciPack self-contained, portable installation" or "SciPack self-contained, portable installation (install on a network server)", the user must first compile the project to enable the functionality of the product. The compilation will be performed in a specific folder, inside a specific system path. In the compilation, the project uses the compiler and linker of Visual Studio. The project is compiled on the project selected in the compilation options.
